How we test

Blocking cards are tested in three different wallets against live self-checkout terminals, twenty presentations per wallet, over a period of weeks. We record whether the wallet-closed presentation fails (good) and whether the payment card alone still works (also required). Build, thickness and everyday wear are assessed by carrying the cards daily.

How we rank

Blocking performance 40%, coverage per purchase 25%, build and thickness 15%, value at the verified price 15%, support and guarantee 5%. Competitor prices, ratings and images are read directly from each product's retailer page and logged in a public source audit file.
